Clean water is one of the first things to fail in a crisis—and one of the fastest ways families get sick after. The ARK Water Decontamination Class is a hands-on, practical session that gives people a clear, repeatable process to turn questionable water into safe drinking water using simple tools and good judgment.
Rooted in ARK’s core—courageous service, stewardship, and brotherhood/community—this class focuses on competent, humble readiness: learning the skills, maintaining the gear, and being able to help neighbors (especially the vulnerable) without improvising or guessing when it matters.
In 60–90 minutes, participants will learn:
A simple “decision tree” for safe water: settle → filter → disinfect → store
What different methods can and can’t handle (sediment vs. microbes vs. chemicals)
Practical decon methods: boiling, measured bleach disinfection, and common filtration approaches
How to size water needs and store safely for a household or small group
A baseline kit approach (Start / Solid / Built) and how to maintain it over time (stewardship)
Participants leave with confidence, a one-page checklist, and the ability to teach others—supporting ARK’s “train + equip + gather” rhythm and building real resilience in the community.
